Hello parents, teachers, and visitors. My name is Elizabeth Simpson. This is my third year teaching at Learning Links. I am fairly new to the great family of amazing teachers at Learning Links however, not new to teaching. I have taught special needs children privately as an ABA tutor for over fifteen years. I first received my ABA training at Miami Children's Hospital Dan Marino Center in Weston. My teaching career began when I graduated from Florida International University with a bachelors degree in psychology. I also have my teachers certification in ESE in grades K-12. I have always loved teaching and believe every child can learn if placed in a nurturing environment. Patience and an exciting presentation are key elements to a successful classroom. I am very fortunate to have an amazing paraprofessional Ms. Lambda Rivera as my teaching partner. She has worked with special needs high school students for four years prior to joining our team in the Best Buddies Club and has worked as a substitute teacher in high schools in the Miami area. She is currently studying elementary education with a minor in psychology. She is also First Aid and CPR certified. She is extremely helpful and integral to our class. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at e[email protected].
